Ken Block is a great Rally Car driver that has probably some of the best practice videos on the internet. He is a master at handling a car. Some of the ol' chaps from Top Gear (auto enthusiast show from across the pond) came out to chat with Ken and get a ride-a-long, one of which provided us with GREAT footage and an AWESOME video.
Taco time is being delayed thanks to long lines at the local taqueria. Actually, I fell behind on some projects so hopefully it'll be launching next week! Stay tuned. I'm sure it won't be worth the wait!

So if you haven't seen it, Transformers 2 has two "twin" robots that are made to personify a black themed person, if you will. Basically they do the run down of all the black stereotypes, ebonics, gold tooth, can't read and stoned. What do you think of it? Michael Bay did great? Didn't? Who cares? Let me know your thoughts. And I apologize for not updating more but I was swamped last week. This week should have some interesting facts...
Our first gig happened this past weekend, and much like the title says "it happened." I think we did ok but there is room for improvement, of course right? It was our very first gig, we can only improve from here. I'm confident that our next one will be even better. For those of you that didn't get to watch the gig, then maybe you'll catch us next time. Again we wanted to say thanks to the Martinez family for putting up with our loud practices and to Guerra's band (I always forget the name) for letting us use their PA, monitors, amps, mics and front of house.
If you guys haven't seen this technique, you need to check it out! It's in my Featured Video section. I really love the way this looks. I haven't learned how to do this yet but is on my to-do list. It's basically a technique that makes any video or photo look like a highly detailed miniature. Much like the intro of the great Mr. Roger's Neighborhood show, except that was a real miniature. Check out this great effect and let me know what you think!

Amid the grand celebrations of the LA Lakers triumph yesterday, someone else was suffering emotional trauma. Carlos Pardo's wife witnessed her husband win his final race and in doing so, crash into a wall traveling over 120mph, and die. I never worked with this driver but I had heard of him, an up and coming driver looking to transfer to the NASCAR series in the States. These type of things are always sad times within our sport and always remind us of the danger these drivers put themselves in each time they get behind the wheel to race. It's not just a race that goes in circles, learn about the sport and you will appreciate the time, dedication and risk these guys go through to put on a racing spectacle, for us the fans. Here is the complete story...
